The bloody new trailer dials back on the history, dials up the carnage.
The thing that has me the most intrigued about Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is that it's being played straight-faced. From everything I've heard - and I've spoken to the filmmakers about this - the intention isn't to wink at the audience throughout; the joke is in the title and then it's played dead serious from there.
This latest trailer backs this up. If you didn't know this was an Abraham Lincoln movie you might just assume it's some sort of 1800s vampire action film. Of course it's very much a Timur Bekmambetov-looking 1800s vampire action film, which I know is going to divide people in a big way.
And while our Filmmaking Frenzy contest is in no way associated with the film or sponsored by Fox, it was very heavily inspired by it. Click here to see the contest.
